Yesterday, I had a conversation with a friend about feeling "enough." Smart enough, accomplished enough, productive enough, insert-your-enough-here. Sober enough, spiritual enough, wealthy enough, loved enough. ENOUGH ENOUGH ENOUGH. Of feeling not good...enough. (Isn't it funny how when you say a word this many times, it stops making sense? Say it out loud, try it!) Well, my friends, what if the mountain top always remains out of sight? What if as you reach it, it just continues to crawl further away, illusive and beckoning and tempting you to just give up? It's not taunting us, that goal or that dream or that mountain. It's reminding us that the mountain is always beneath us, our steps themselves are enough, simply carrying ourselves IS enough. Enough with the expectations, Sweetpeas. ENOUGH.
